Raleigh, N.C.--Page Marsh, NC State's women's golf coach, was named ACC Coach Of The Year, the ACC announced Monday. In just her second season, Marsh guided the Wolfpack to a third-place conference tournament finish, its highest since joining the league.
After the ACC Tournament, NC State earned its first ever bid to an NCAA Regional in only its second year back in competition.
Building off its fall success, Coach Marsh's team reeled off three straight tournament wins in March at the Lady Moc Classic, Peggy Kirk Bell Invitational and the Lady Seahawk Invitational. The only other team tournament title in school history came in 1981 at the Seahawk Fall Invitational. The Wolfpack closed out the spring with an eighth-place finish at the Bryan National Collegiate before the squad's stellar performance at the ACC Championships.
For the spring, the Wolfpack lowered its stroke average by four strokes to 75.89 and was 218 strokes-over-par, 229 strokes below the fall total. The Pack's average team finish in the spring was an outstanding 2.8.
