Anderson and Lear Named Caterpillar Scholar Athletes

Caterpillar is proud to partner with NC State to present a program that honors the achievements of our student-athletes in the classrooms as well as on the playing fields.
Caterpillar is proud to partner with NC State to present a program that honors the achievements of our student-athletes in the classrooms as well as on the playing fields. Each month two Wolfpack Scholar athletes will be selected as a member of the Caterpillar Scholar Athlete team. To be named to the Caterpillar Scholar Athlete team, a student-athlete must maintain a 3.00 GPA for at least one semester and be a full-time student at NC State.
During the Fall 2001 semester, 228 Wolfpack Student Athletes achieved a semester GPA of 3.00 or higher and 109 student-athletes were Dean's List honorees.
This month Caterpillar and NC State are proud to honor Junior Volleyball player Rebecca Anderson and Junior Soccer player, Gretchen Lear.

Rebecca Anderson, a junior from Raleigh,NC,plays on the women's volleyball team. Rebecca is a great example of an athlete that strives to achieve on and off the court. Her major is Biological Sciences. She currently holds a Total Grade Point Average of 4.00. She is a great representative of NC State.
 Gretchen Lear |
Gretchen Lear is a junior from Springfield, Va. She is a member of the Women's soccer team and majors in Sociology. Gretchen also strives to succeed as a GoalKeeper and has a Total Grade Point Average of 4.00.
Congratulations to both Rebecca and Gretchen and all the other Caterpillar Scholar Athletes.
