The NC State women's golf team, making the first NCAA Regional appearance in school history, is in 14th place following one round of the East Regional in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
On the strength of a -2 total of 286, the University of Florida leads the field after one day of play. Auburn is one stroke off the pace while ACC champ Duke is five shots behind the Gators.
Individually, Colby Cobb fired a one-over par 73 to lead the Wolfpack on Thursday. Sarah Bonner carded a 74 for NC State.
