Women's Golf in Ninth After First Round

Brown Summitt, NC- NC State's Women's Golf team is in ninth place after a opening round 304. Led by Colby Cobb's second lowest round of the season with a two-over-par 74, the Wolfpack is in ninth in the 17 team field.
Malin Claesson and Erica Wein both fired 75s to land in 26th place for the Wolfpack.
Team stroke leader Sarah Bonner carded an 80 as did Leslie Stubblefield. Both golfers are in a tie for 70th place.
#2 Duke, led by sophomore Virada Nirapathpongporn, is in first place at the Bryan National Collegiate. Nirapathpongporn fired a tournament record 65 to capture the individual lead after day one.
The second round tees off tomorrow at 8:30am.
