Wolfpack Cheerleading Coach Resigns

Raleigh, N.C.--NC State cheerleading coach Lisa James has announced that she will resign her position, effective June 30th. James has held the position since 1999.
A cheerleader for the Wolfpack squad from 1991-95, James served as an assistant coach for the squad from 1997-99 before taking over the program. In 2001, she led the Wolfpack squad to the Grand National Championship.
James married teammate, Wes, who also cheered on the squad from 1991-95. Wes is an Ensign for the US Coast Guard and will be stationed in Washington, D.C. in the Marine Safety Division. The couple has one daughter, Kayla, who is 2.
James is currently completing her Masters Degree in Counselor Education.
