Women's Golf Third After Two Rounds

CLEMMONS, N.C. - After two rounds of play in the Atlantic Coast Conference Championship Tournament at the Salem Glen Country Club, NC State is in third place behind Duke and Wake Forest after shooting 23 strokes over par for 304 on the day. Malin Claesson and Colby Cobb are in a four-way tie for eighth place at 149 to lead the Pack.
Freshman Erica Wein fired the low round of the day for NC State with a round of 74. Despite the outstanding round, Wein remains in a tie for 20th. Cobb was 5 over par with a round of 76, while Sarah Bonner, Leslie Stubblefield and Claesson had a modest 77. Bonner is in a tie for 14th, while Stubblefield has sole possession of 18th.
Duke continues to dominate the field as the only team to shoot under par for the tournament. Duke Freshman Niloufar Aazam-Zanganeh shot the lowest score of 70 for the day. Virada Nirapathpongporn and Kristina Engstrom of Duke are tied for first place (141)
The final round of action will begin tomorrow morning at 8:30 a.m. at the Salem Glen Country Club in Clemmons, N.C. Maryland, North Carolina and Florida State will tee off at 8:30 a.m. and NC State, Wake Forest and Duke will tee off at 9:20 a.m.
