Jordan and Sealy Named Caterpillar Scholar Athletes

Caterpillar is proud to partner with NC State to present a program that honors the achievements of our student-athletes in the classrooms as well as on the playing fields.
Caterpillar is proud to partner with NC State to present a program that honors the achievements of our student-athletes in the classrooms as well as on the playing fields. Each month two Wolfpack Scholar athletes will be selected as a member of the Caterpillar Scholar Athlete team. To be named to the Caterpillar Scholar Athlete team, a student-athlete must maintain a 3.00 GPA for at least one semester and be a full-time student at NC State.
During the Fall 2001 semester, 228 Wolfpack Student Athletes achieved a semester GPA of 3.00 or higher and 109 student-athletes were Dean's List honorees.
This month Caterpillar and NC State are proud to honor Junior women's soccer player Kelly Jordan and Junior Men's tennis player Shane Sealy.

Kelly Jordan , a junior from Gambrills, Md.,plays on the women's soccer team. Kelly is a great example of an athlete that strives to achieve on and off the field. Her major is Park Recreation and Tourism with a minor in Fitness Leader. She currently holds a Total Grade Point Average of 3.94. She is a great representative of NC State.
 Shane Sealy |
Shane Sealy is a junior from Nassau,Bahamas. He is a member of the Men's Tennis team and majors in Business Management. Shane also strives to succeed with every swing and has a Total Grade Point Average of 3.65.
Congratulations to both Kelly and Shane and all the other Caterpillar Scholar Athletes.
