Hodge and Powell Named To All Freshman Squad

Forward Julius Hodge and center Josh Powell, two big reasons NC State was able to post a 20-9 record this season, have been named to the ACC's All Freshman team. Hodge, a 6-6 native of Harlem, N.Y., averaged 10.2 points per game and was the only first year player in the league to average in double figures.
The 6-9 Powell started 25 game in the middle, averaging 7.8 points and 4.2 rebounds per contest. Joining the two NC State rookies on the all freshman squad were B.J. Elder and Ed Nelson of Georgia Tech, along with North Carolina forward Jawad Williams.
