Palefsky and Brown Named Caterpillar Scholar Athletes

Caterpillar is proud to partner with NC State to present a program that honors the achievements of our student-athletes in the classrooms as well as on the playing fields.
Caterpillar is proud to partner with NC State to present a program that honors the achievements of our student-athletes in the classrooms as well as on the playing fields. Each month two Wolfpack Scholar athletes will be selected as a member of the Caterpillar Scholar Athlete team. To be named to the Caterpillar Scholar Athlete team, a student-athlete must maintain a 3.00 GPA for at least one semester and be a full-time student at NC State.
During the Fall 2001 semester, 228 Wolfpack Student Athletes achieved a semester GPA of 3.00 or higher and 109 student-athletes were Dean's List honorees.
This month Caterpillar and NC State are proud to honor Junior gymnast Lauren Palefsky and Senior Cross Country/Track and Field member Brandon Brown.
Lauren Palefsky |
Lauren Palefsky is a junior from Raleigh and majors in Business Management. Her talents include being a gymnast on the NC State Gymnastic team and also having a Total Grade Point Average of 3.44.
Brandon Brown |
Brandon Brown is a member of the Cross Country/Track & Field team at NC State. He currently is a senior from Asheville, North Carolina and majors in Business. Last Season, he finished 12th at the Outdoor ACC Championships in the high jump with a mark of 6'02.75. This season he sports a Total Grade Point Average of 3.027.
Congratulations to both Lauren and Brandon and all the other Caterpillar Scholar Athletes.
