Anderson and Washington Named Caterpillar Scholar Athletes

Caterpillar is proud to partner with NC State to present a program that honors the achievements of our student-athletes in the classrooms as well as on the playing fields. Each month two Wolfpack Scholar athletes will be selected as a member of the Caterpillar Scholar Athlete team. To be named to the Caterpillar Scholar Athlete team, a student-athlete must maintain a 3.00 GPA for at least one semester and be a full-time student at NC State.
During the Fall 2001 semester, 228 Wolfpack Student Athletes achieved a semester GPA of 3.00 or higher and 109 student-athletes were Dean's List honorees.
This month Caterpillar and NC State are proud to honor Senior volleyball player, Rebecca Anderson and Senior football player, JJ Washington.

Rebecca Anderson, is a senior from Raleigh. She is a member of the NC State's women's volleyball team. Anderson strives to achieve on the court as well as in the classroom. Her major is Biological Sciences where she holds a perfect Total Grade Point Average of 4.00. Rebecca has been a NCSU Scholar for six semesters and on the All ACC Honor Roll for three years. She also is a Phi Beta Kappa inductee. She is on the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and a top ten scholar athlete.

JJ Washington is also a senior from Stone Mountain, Georgia. JJ is a member of the NC State football team. His major is Mass Communications. His Total Grade Point Average 3.037. He is a NCSU Scholar Athlete and Academic All-ACC. He is also a member of the Student Athlete Advisory Council.
Congratulations to both Rebecca and JJ and all the other Caterpillar Scholar Athletes.
