* QB Philip Rivers became NC State's all-time leader in completions. Rivers completed 21 passes on the day, and now has 646 for his career. He surpassed Jamie Barnette's total of 637.
* Freshman T.A. McLendon scored an eight-yard rushing touchdown in the third quarter, his 15th of the season and a new ACC record for most rushing touchdowns by a freshman.
* NC State's first touchdown gave the Pack 53 on the season, breaking the record of the 1973 squad.
* Senior wideout Bryan Peterson set a new school record when he caught a first quarter pass, his 35th consecutive game with at least one catch.
* Junior wideout Jerricho Cotchery went over 100 yards for the fourth time this year (6 catches, 129 yards). Cotchery also scored NC State's first touchdown, his fifth this year--a career-high. All five come at home, and the East Tennessee State game was the only game in which he didn't score.

* NC State's three points in the first half were the Pack lowest in a half since NC State held a 3-0 lead at the half against Virginia last season.
* NC State trailed for the first time at home this season, and for the first time in the fourth quarter in an game this season.
