The Wolfpack will travel to Chapel Hill Thursday for the Nike Cup Invitational hosted by ACC foe UNC. Eight teams are scheduled to race in the event, including Virginia Tech and East Carolina, two teams NC State has already competed against this season.
The men's team is still undefeated in dual-meet action at 6-0. In the Wolfpack's most recent outing, it set two pool records in the War Memorial Pool at VT. Rob Yeager set a pool-best mark of 2:04.05 in the 200 breast, while the 400 free relay group of John Hudson, Cristian Rojas, Justin Smith and Scott Dettloff turned in a pool record of 3:06.44.
The women's team dropped the meet to the Hokies, but had some impressive swims. Jessica Koenig had a big win in the 200 IM, while Anna Maria Gazda dominated the pool in the 200 back.
All action will be held in the Koury Center on the campus of UNC near the Smith Center. Preliminary races are set to begin at 10 a.m. and finals will commence at 6 p.m.
