Gazda and Panton Named Caterpillar Scholar Athletes

Caterpillar is proud to partner with NC State to present a program that honors the achievements of our student-athletes in the classrooms as well as on the playing fields. Each month two Wolfpack Scholar athletes will be selected as a member of the Caterpillar Scholar Athlete team. To be named to the Caterpillar Scholar Athlete team, a student-athlete must maintain a 3.00 GPA for at least one semester and be a full-time student at NC State.
During the Fall 2001 semester, 228 Wolfpack Student Athletes achieved a semester GPA of 3.00 or higher and 109 student-athletes were Dean's List honorees.
This month Caterpillar and NC State are proud to honor Senior women's swim team member, Annamaria Gazda and Senior gymnastic team member, Aimee Panton.

Annamaria Gazda, is a senior and a member of the NC State's women's swim team. Annamaria comes to NC State all the the way from Budapest, Hungary. Her events in the swimming pool are freestyle and backstroke. Gazda strives to achieve in the pool as well as in the classroom. Her major is Business where she holds a Total Grade Point Average of 3.75.

Aimee Panton is also a senior from Naugatuck, Conneticutt. Aimee is a member of the NC State gymnastics team. She is currently working on her masters in counselor education and strives to achieve academically with a Total Grade Point Average of 3.359. She is a NCSU Scholar Athlete and also has been on the EAGL all-academic team for three years.
Congratulations to both Annamaria and Aimee and all the other Caterpillar Scholar Athletes.
