Everyone at NC State knows how good Anthony Grundy has been this season. Now, others are starting to take notice. NC State's senior guard has been honored as the ACC Player of the Week after leading the Wolfpack to a pair of victories last week. In the Pack's 77-59 win over North Carolina last Wednesday, Grundy scored 21 points as the Pack snapped a seven-game losing streak to the Tar Heels. He then came back with a 20-point outburst in NC State's 80-61 win over Temple on Saturday.
Grundy hit on 64 percent of his field goal attempts for the week, including three-of-six from three-point range. In addition, the Louisville, Ky., native pulled down 15 rebounds, had seven assists and seven steals in the two games. On the year, Grundy is tied for eighth in the ACC in scoring (16.0), third in steals (2.6), eighth in assists (3.7). Over his last four games, Grundy is averaging 21.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 4.8 assists, 3.3 steals, while shooting nearly 59 from the field.
He leads NC State in scoring, steals, assists and is tied for the club lead in rebounds per game (5.4).
