Dubose and Washington Named Caterpillar Scholar Athletes

Caterpillar is proud to partner with NC State to present a program that honors the achievements of our student-athletes in the classrooms as well as on the playing fields.
Caterpillar is proud to partner with NC State to present a program that honors the achievements of our student-athletes in the classrooms as well as on the playing fields. Each month two Wolfpack Scholar athletes will be selected as a member of the Caterpillar Scholar Athlete team. To be named to the Caterpillar Scholar Athlete team, a student-athlete must maintain a 3.00 GPA for at least one semester and be a full-time student at NC State.
During the Fall 2001 semester, 228 Wolfpack Student Athletes achieved a semester GPA of 3.00 or higher and 109 student-athletes were Dean's List honorees.
This month Caterpillar and NC State are proud to honor and Senior Cross Country/Track & Field member Melinda Dubose and Junior Football player JJ Washington.
 
Melinda Dubose |
Melinda Dubose is a senior from Asheville, North Carolina. She is majoring in Microbiology. Melinda is a member of the NC State Cross Country/ Track and Field team. She not only shines on the track but also in the classroom. She currently has a Total Grade Point Average of 3.782.
 JJ Washington |
JJ Washington is a junior from Stone Mountain, Georgia. Washington is a member of NC State's Football team. He currently has a Total Grade Point Average of 3.083 in Mass Communications.
