Rogers and Boward Named Caterpillar Scholar Athletes

Caterpillar is proud to partner with NC State to present a program that honors the achievements of our student-athletes in the classrooms as well as on the playing fields.
Caterpillar is proud to partner with NC State to present a program that honors the achievements of our student-athletes in the classrooms as well as on the playing fields. Each month two Wolfpack Scholar athletes will be selected as a member of the Caterpillar Scholar Athlete team. To be named to the Caterpillar Scholar Athlete team, a student-athlete must maintain a 3.00 GPA for at least one semester and be a full-time student at NC State.
During the Fall 2001 semester, 228 Wolfpack Student Athletes achieved a semester GPA of 3.00 or higher and 109 student-athletes were Dean's List honorees.
This month Caterpillar and NC State are proud to honor Senior Cross Country runner Lindsey Rogers and Junior Men's Tennis Player Ryan Boward.
Lindsey Rogers |
Lindsey Rogers,who is from Raleigh,is a member of the NC State women's Cross Country and Track and Field teams. In addition to her success with the ACC Champion Cross Country team she succeeds in the classroom as well. She currently sports a Total Grade Point Average of 4.00 in Political Science.
Ryan Boward |
Ryan Boward is a member of the NC State Men's Tennis Team and is from Charlotte. He also excels in the classroom as well as on the tennis court as evidenced by his Total Grade Point Average of 3.70 in Business Management.
Congratulations to both Lindsey and Ryan and all the other Caterpillar Scholar Athletes.
