Rifle Team Shoots Down VMI

The NC State rifle team got its spring season started off on the right foot, beating VMI Saturday in Reynolds Coliseum. The Wolfpack shot an arregate score of 3,476, ninety-three points better than VMI's 3,383.
"Overall we won this match because of our air rifle scores," said NC State head coach Keith Miller. "We've been shooting air rifle for most of the season. We've had difficulty scheduling small bore practice and only practiced once before this match."
Joe Upton led NC State with an aggregate score of 908. He shot a personal best 371 in air rifle. Trey Ragsdale followed with an aggregate score of 879.
The NC State rifle team will next compete at The Citadel next Saturday January 26.
