Moderator: (11:02 AM ET ) TheACC.com and ESPN.com would like to welcome NC State's Anthony Grundy to today's chat.
Vince Villafranca (Morrisville, NC): Anthony, Congrats on the good start to the season so far. How is the attitude in the locker room right now? Does everyone see a bid to the big dance as the main goal? And one more thing- How has the team dealt with the loss of Levi Watkins? Thanks for your time, GO PACK! See ya at the ESA on saturday against GT !
Anthony Grundy: (11:05 AM ET ) I think it is great right now and I think the guys really want to win. They are competing every time out the attitudes are real high and great. I think we have had a lot of players step up and fill Levi's shoes. That is something that coach told is that you never know what is going to happen. As far as the big dance, it is on everybody's mind. That is where we want to be in March. I don't think anybody wants anything less.
Chris (Clayton,NC): What's up Anthony? What do you normally do to get yourself ready on game day? Like hours before tip off?
Anthony Grundy: (11:06 AM ET ) Really just listen to music I would say and wonder around in the locker room. Maybe play a little pool or get on the video game system. I just like to fool around and stay loose.
Michael, Holly Springs: If there was one thing that Coach Sendek is trying to get you guys to improve on the most, what would it be?
Good Luck Saturday against the Jackets!
Anthony Grundy: (11:07 AM ET ) Just competing hard all the time and being consistent. Working hard all the time and not giving into fatigue or weakness when things aren't going your way.
Jeff Hubbard (Newport News, Va.): Anthony, you are the most exciting player in the ACC to watch and your hustle day in and day out is greatly appreciated in Wolfpack land! What is the difference in attitude between this years team and the teams of the past three years with Inge, Thornton, Kelley, etc.? Thank you Anthony and good luck for the rest of the season!
Anthony Grundy: (11:08 AM ET ) I think it is the demeanor. Guys want to win, they work hard day in and day out. The young guys bring a new competitiveness to our team. With the young guys and older guys, things seem to blend well and hopefully it will turn out to be something special.
Mean Gene (Raleigh): Anthony: Many thanks to you and your teammates for your intense and diligent play this season. We the fans can see facial expressions during the game on the players that indicate that you guys are really enjoying yourselves this year. Could you comment on that and could you comment on where the team stands in terms of "attacking" the basket while in the halfcourt offensive sets? Best of luck for the remainder of the season.
Anthony Grundy: (11:11 AM ET ) Again, I think it goes back to how everybody cares for one another. When you have that within a team it makes it fun to go out there and play freely. I think we have many interchangeable parts. One of our strengths is attacking the basket. Eighty percent of our team can penetrate to the basket. We have guys who can shoot as well. Attacking the basket is one of our strengths and it is a benefit for us.
Jed McCann, Roaring River NC: Anthony I have watched you for 4 years and I still wonder how do you manage to get those shots off with someone all over you? Just how do you do it?
Anthony Grundy: (11:12 AM ET ) I don't know. It is hard to say. A lot of people have said it is because of my reach. That would be the main thing. It is also knowing the game of basketball and knowing my strengths. I try to get better at every aspect of my game.
Moses: You seem like a great kid, Anthony! How hard is it on you knowing that the team is finally getting it together and is really on the right track - and it's your last year to play?
Anthony Grundy: (11:14 AM ET ) I guess that is part of going through a program. It is very tough, I have helped the team do well, but I can't do anymore after this year. I just want to instill the positive aspects of this year into the younger guys. To see these guys do well down the road will make me proud inside.
Josh, Raleigh,NC: Do you guys realize how many potential heart attacks you've given us fans this year? How do you guys consistently play that level of ball physically and emotionally? Cause i tell ya, it's really hard on us fans sometimes. Go Pack.
Anthony Grundy: (11:15 AM ET ) A couple of people have come up to me and tell me that we have their hearts racing. It helps us being in close games, teams get better that way. If you have been in situations we have been in, it helps you down the road.
John Proctor(Raleigh): Anthony, you're the man. You say you listen to music to get ready for games, What songs or artist are helping to pump up the Wolfpack for competition?
Anthony Grundy: (11:17 AM ET ) Well myself, I listen to a variety of things. I like to call myself universal. I listen to R&B and rap. During Christmas time I actually listened to the Temptations. We have a lot of different guys so we have some diversity in the music we listen to.
David(nc): Great wins on the road for the Pack, What has made the biggest difference this year in winning those games, when last year the pack lost them?
Anthony Grundy: (11:19 AM ET ) I think the one thing is our young guys haven't endured the tough losses that we have on the road. It makes them want to come out and play and get it done. The older guys like myself and Archie have told them what has happened in the past on the road. This helps the young guys come out and help us change the outcomes for us on the road.
Bill, Wilmington: Love your play, AG! What's been your most satisfying moment on the court this season?
Anthony Grundy: (11:20 AM ET ) I would say winning on the road. My past road years have not been good. When we won at Virginia and Clemson, it felt real good after those wins. When you win on the road, it feels like you can win anywhere. The more you win on the road, the more you feel you have a chance to be there in March.
BP Raleighwood: What are the keys to stopping GaTech this weekend in Raleigh?
Anthony Grundy: (11:23 AM ET ) Actually we haven't had a lot of footage of Georgia Tech. From hearing what coach has said, probably defense. We didn't play defense as well as we would like at Clemson. They shot like 50 percent from the field. We definitely need to play solid defense to get us the win.
Moderator: (11:24 AM ET ) That is all the time Anthony has for us today. TheACC.com and ESPN.com would like to thank Anthony for spending time with us this afternoon.
