Men's Soccer Loses to No. 2 Virginia 2-0

Raleigh, N.C. - The NC State men's soccer team fell to No. 2 Virginia 2-0 Sunday afternoon at Method Road. Virginia scored two first half goals, and recorded its fourth consecutive shutout for the victory.
Virginia (7-0-1, 3-0 ACC) notched the first goal of the game at the 27:13 mark, when Jonathan Cole headed in a Jacob LeBlanc corner kick. The Cavs would add an insurance goal in the 40th minute, when LeBlanc posted his own goal off of an assist from Ryan Gibbs.
Virginia outshot the Pack (1-6, 0-2 ACC) on the day 14-5. NC State keeper Mitchell Watson notched six saves, while Virginia's David Comfort finished with two saves in the shutout effort.
NC State will next host High Point this Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. at Method Road.
