Today's entry is going to be short and sweet. It's been a long day.
The guys were back in full pads today for a two-and-a-half hour workout. We did a little bit of everything today - individual drills, 11-on-11, pass skeleton, goallline and some more work on Indiana. I haven't mentioned that there is a big Indiana flag posted on the top of one of the video lifts. It's pretty subtle, but I guess it's just there to remind the players what they should be focussing on.
There are certainly a lot of new numbers and faces out there - our young guys are getting a lot of reps. Especially when you look at our secondary, there are a lot of new faces out there. Luckily, we've got some seasoned veterans like Brian Williams and Terrence Holt. Brian broke up a big pass today during 11-on-11 drills.
Tomorrow will be a little lighter to prepare for Saturday's big scrimmage. Tonight, the players had to run gassers after practice, go lift weights and then hurry to the Unity Picnic, something our Student-Athlete Development Office throws every year for the whole athletic department - athletes, coaches and staff. There's a band out there, one of those inflatable things you can jump around in, and the smell of some GOOD hamburgers. Now you know why this is so short and sweet!
