Whether he's involved in the Super Bowl, an early August exhibition game or a mini-camp workout, Torry Holt never takes a play off. In becoming an All-America wide receiver at NC State, Holt became known for, among other things, a tremendous work ethic.
So it should be no surprise that when the St Louis Rams opened their preseason schedule against Buffalo on Sunday, Holt was in postseason form.
His three catches for 106 yards helped St. Louis secure a 24-10 victory over the Bills in the exhibition opener for both clubs. Holt's evening included a 60-yard scoring grab from quarterback Joe Germaine.
Spikes Lands Close To Home--Former NC State running back Rahshon Spikes was one of two players signed by the Carolina Panthers on Sunday. Spikes, who played with the Wolfpack from 1996-99, split time between the Cleveland Browns' practice squad and NFL Europe last year.
