Tempe, Ariz.--The NFL's Arizona Cardinals have agreed to terms with defensive back Adrian Wilson, the team's third-round draft pick.
Wilson, a two-year starter at strong safety for NC State, will compete for playing time in an Arizona secondary that has lost Aeneas Williams, who was traded to St. Louis.
Wilson, who left school following his junior season, had 254 tackles (144 solo), 11 stops behind the line of scrimmage, three interceptions and 11 pass deflections in 33 games for the Wolfpack.
Terms of the three-year contract were not disclosed.
The Cardinals open their first training camp under head coach Dave McGinnis this weekend. Players gather in Flagstaff on Friday, with workouts starting on Saturday at Northern Arizona University.
