Jeff Fisher is about to experience "The 50-Yard Indoor War." On Wednesday, the Arena Football League's Carolina Cobras announced that they had signed the former NC State defensive tackle to their practice squad.
The 6-1, 280 pound Fisher, who was a three-year starter in college, concluded his NC State career last season. He joins another former Wolfpack defensive lineman on the Cobras' roster. Carl Reeves, who was a standout defensive end for the Pack from 1991-94, is currently on injured reserve.
Now in just their second season, the Cobras currently lead the AFL's Eastern Division with a 6-3 record. Carolina will host Houston at the ESA Friday night at 7:30.
