NC Hall of Fame Inductees Include Molodet and Marsh Lea
One of NC State's greatest basketball players and the Wolfpack's current women's golf coach will be among six people inducted into the North Carolina Sports Hall of Fame next week.
Vic Molodet, a standout guard for the Wolfpack in the 1950's and golf coach Page Marsh Lea will be honored at the annual Hall of Fame banquet on Wednesday, May 16 at the North Raleigh Hilton.
An All-ACC guard in 1955 and 56, Molodet helped the Wolfpack win three conference titles during his stellar career, which ended with a scoring average of 15 points per game.
Long before she was hired as NC State's first women's golf coach, Page Marsh Lea was one of the nation's top amateurs. The former NCAA All-American won the NC Women's Golf Championship six times.
Joining Molodet and Marsh Lea in the Hall will be former UNC basketball star Brad Daugherty, ex Wake Forest baseball coach Jack Stallings, Denton native and former Major League pitcher Max Lanier and Chowan College coaching legend Jim Garrison.
Tickets are still available for the May 16 Banquet. For more information, call 919-852-4396.
