Once teammates at NC State, Koren Robinson, Adrian Wilson, Jarvis Borum and Clayton White will be dispersing themselves to different corners of the country as they pursue careers in the National Football League.
Actually, Wilson and Borum have landed in the same spot-Arizona. Wilson, a hard-hitting safety from High Point, was the Cardinals' third round selection in Saturday's NFL Draft. On Monday, Borum was one of 20 undrafted free agents to sign with Arizona. The 6-7, 332 pound Borum was a three-year starter at left tackle for the Pack.
After being passed over in the draft, White signed a free agent deal with the New York Giants. The 6-0, 230 pound linebacker from Dunn, N.C. impressed a handful of NFL scouts when he ran a sub-4.5 40 during an on-campus workout back in February.
Robinson, the record-breaking wide receiver from Belmont, became the first Atlantic Coast Conference player taken in the draft when he went 9th overall to Seattle. If his two-year college career at NC State is any indication, then Robinson will become a big-time receiver in the NFL. A second team All-America as a sophomore last season, Robinson made 62 receptions for 1,061 yards and 13 touchdowns. He also set a school record by recording nine 100-yard receiving games in 2000.
