Raleigh, N.C. -- NC State student-athletes will have the opportunity to interact with area school children during the Wolfpack Blitz program, which will run during the week of April 2-6 . The Office of Student-Athlete Development will be sponsoring Wolfpack Blitz, their biggest community outreach program of the year.
Through the program, student-athletes will have the opportunity to speak to the children about the importance of education and character. Philip Rivers (football), Levar Fisher (football), Tynesha Lewis (basketball) and Damien Wilkins (basketball) are among the athletes expected to participate. Student-athletes have become role models for today's children, and this is a great opportunity for the children to understand the importance of athletics and academics. Through Wolfpack Blitz, the student-athletes are able to give back some of the support the community has given to them. The program will include 29 area schools.
