RALEIGH, N.C. -- A look inside the final numbers shows that guard Anthony Grundy led NC State
in a number of categories, including scoring average (14.6 ppg), steals
(53), field goals made (145) and three-point field goals (45).
Grundy, a junior from Louisville, was also second to Cliff Crawford in assists and was second to Archie Miller in free throw percentage (76%).
Seniors Kenny Inge and Damon Thornton finished tied for rebounding honors by averaging 7.2 per contest. For the second straight year, Damien Wilkins did an excellent job on the offensive boards. Almost half (75) of the sophomore forward's 151 rebounds came on the offensive glass.
The field goal percentage leader for the Pack in 2000-2001 was Archie Miller, who converted on 59-102 field goal attempts (57.8%). The junior guard was absolutely stellar from three-point range where knocked down 57.5 percent of his shots.
