Wolfpack Baseball Suffers 5-3 Setback at Winthrop

Josh Ury's single up the middle in the seventh inning broke a three-all tie and Winthrop went on to defeat NC State 5-3. The Eagles (16-4-1) added an insurance run in the eighth when Brian Snyder scored on a wild pitch.

State (9-9) had tied the score three times, the last time at 3-3 in the seventh when Joe Gaetti scored on an error. Gaetti finished 2-for-4 with two runs. David Hicks was 3-for-4 for the Wolfpack.

NC State will visit Campbell on Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m. before returning home for a weekend series against Florida State.
