RALEIGH, N.C. -- Fresh off a successful weekend in Atlanta, the NC State baseball team will
be looking to continue its winning ways this evening when it plays at
Winthrop. The Wolfpack (9-8, 2-1 ACC) will then conclude its road trip with
a game against Campbell on Wednesday.
The Pack is hot after taking two of three ACC games from top ranked Georgia Tech over the weekend. The two losses knocked the Yellow Jackets off their perch as the nation's number one team.
On Sunday, outfielder Brian Wright went 6-for-6 with two homers and seven RBI as NC State doubled the score on Tech 16-8.
Since losing five in a row between February 18-28, the Wolfpack has rebounded to win six of its last seven games.
NC State will resume its conference schedule with a big home series against nationally ranked Florida State on Friday (7 p.m.), Saturday (1 p.m.) and Sunday (1:30 p.m.).
The games on Saturday and Sunday will be broadcast on WKNC 88.1 fm and via the Internet on GOPACK.com.
