Three Wolfpack Athletes Receive Postgraduate Scholarships

Among the scholarship recipients are NC State Women's Cross Country/Track & Field star Amy Beykirch, Wolfpack wrestler Zach Breitenbach and Christy Nichols, also a Cross-Country/Track & Field athlete at NC State.
NC State, North Carolina and Virginia lead the league with three recipients each this year.
The scholarships are awarded to select senior student-athletes who have intentions of continuing academic work as full-time graduate students. Each recipient will receive $5,000 to use toward his of her graduate education. These student athletes have performed with distinction in the classroom and in their respective sports, and have demonstrated exemplary conduct in the community.
The scholarships are named in honor of past ACC Commissioners, the late Jim Weaver and Bob James, as well as Gene Corrigan.
