Guidry Honored By ACC

NC State's Trey Guidry and J.C. Mathis of Virginia have been tabbed as the ACC Co-Rookies of the Week in voting by a select panel of the Atlantic Coast Sportswriters Association.

Guidry, a 6-2, 175-pound freshman from Baton Rouge, La., averaged 11.0 points in two games last week. In the Pack's 74-69 overtime loss to Wake Forest on Wednesday, Guidry came off the bench to score a career-high 15 points, making good on five-of-six three point shots. In Saturday's narrow 54-53 loss to eighth ranked Syracuse, Guidry scored seven points and pulled down two rebounds in his first career start.
