Lewis, a senior guard for the Wolfpack, earns ACC Player of the Week recognition after leading NC State to league victories over Florida State, No. 24 Virginia and No. 17 Clemson. She led the team to a 3-0 record after being moved to the starting point guard position for the first time in her career. For the week, the Macclesfield, N.C., native, averaged 10.0 points, 7.3 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.7 steals.
Against Florida State, Lewis became the first basketball player at NC State (male or female) to record a triple-double with 10 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists. Lewis also became the third Wolfpack player to record 1,400 points, 500 rebounds and 300 assists in her career. Andrea Stinson and Trudi Lacey are the only other players in NC State history to achieve this feat.
At Clemson on Sunday, Lewis hit a 10-foot jumper to give NC State its first lead of the game with only 33 seconds remaining. She then nailed two free throws with six seconds on the clock to seal NC State's first win at Clemson in six years.
