Marshall Defeats NC State in Women's Tennis

In singles action, freshman Jennifer Jassawalla of NC State defeated Vicky Lee of Marshall, 6-2, 6-4 at No. 4. At No. 5 singles, sophomore Loni Worsley defeated the Herd's Sheela Cabiling, 6-3, 6-2, while NC State sophomore Myrna Bawono won at the No. 6 postion with a default.
In doubles, the only win for the Pack was at the No. 3 position. Worsley teammed with freshman Kristin Lam to defeat Cabiling and Megan Skalsky of Marshall 8-3.
The Wolfpack will return to action next Sunday at the NC State Tennis Complex when they host the Phoenix of Elon College at 1:00 p.m.
