Bell and Brown Named Caterpillar Scholar Athletes

Caterpillar is proud to partner with NC State to present a program that honors the achievements of our student-athletes in the classrooms as well as on the playing fields.
Caterpillar is proud to partner with NC State to present a program that honors the achievements of our student-athletes in the classrooms as well as on the playing fields. Each month two Wolfpack Scholar athletes will be selected as a member of the Caterpillar Scholar Athlete team. To be named to the Caterpillar Scholar Athlete team, a student-athlete must maintain a 3.00 GPA for at least one semester and be a full-time student at NC State.
During the Fall 2001 semester, 228 Wolfpack Student Athletes achieved a semester GPA of 3.00 or higher and 109 student-athletes were Dean's List honorees.
This month Caterpillar and NC State are proud to honor RS Freshman Michael Bell and Junior Gymnast Kelli Brown.
Kelli Brown |
Kelli Brown, who is from Spruce Creek, PA is a member of the NC State women's Gymnastic's team. In addition to her success with the Gymnastic team she succeeds in the classroom as well. She currently sports a Total Grade Point Average of 3.24 in Sociology and Criminal Justice.
Michael Bell |
Michael Bell is a member of the NC State Men's Basketball Team and is from Raleigh. He also excels in the classroom as well as on the basketball court as evidenced by his Total Grade Point Average of 3.00.
Congratulations to both Kelli and Michael and all the other Caterpillar Scholar Athletes.
