Wolfpack Women Remain 14th at Tarheel Invitational

Chapel Hill, N.C. -- NC State's women's golf team remains in 14th place after the second round of the Franklin Street Trust Tarheel Invitational Saturday at Finley Golf Course on the North Carolina campus. The Wolfpack posted a 319 in the second round, an improvement of 11 shots from the first round. Duke holds an eight shot lead over North Carolina.
Freshman Sarah Bonner fired a 76 to move up into a tie for 26th on the individual scoreboard. Rookie Leslie Stubblefield carded a 79 for a two-day total of 164. Nikki Culter of Vanderbilt posted a 36-hole score of 147 to lead teammate Meredith Ward by one shot.
The final 18-hole round will be held on Sunday at Finley in Chapel Hill.
