Wake Forest Notes
Game Captains: Tonight's game captains are #2 John Stone, #99 Nate Bolling and #21 Fabian Davis.
Pace's Sack Attack: Junior Calvin Pace recorded his 15th career sack in the second quarter, moving him into a three-way tie for third place on WFU's all-time career sack chart. Pace is tied with James Parker (1976-79) and Fred Robbins (1996-99).
Tarence Gets 10, Then 100: Junior Tarence Williams recorded his 10th career rushing touchdown, a two-yarder on Wake's first drive of the game. He also recorded his sixth career 100-yard game with 113 yards on 25 carries. Williams is just one of 11 players in Wake Forest history to tally six 100-yard rushing games.
Big Play Guys: Fabian Davis' 38-yard pass to Jax Landfried which set up a Deacon touchdown in the second quarter was the fourth-longest pass of the season for Wake Forest. Of the six completed passes of 30 yards or better thrown by Wake Forest this season, three of them have been caught by Landfried.
Anderson Streak Stays Alive: It didn't happen until late in the fourth quarter, but redshirt freshman Jason Anderson kept his streak intact of catching a pass in every game of his collegiate career (five games). He is the only Deacon to have caught a pass in every game this season.
