RALEIGH, N.C. -- Wolfpack junior strong safety Adrian Wilson announced today that he will forego his final year of collegiate eligibility and enter the NFL draft. Robinson was a second-team All-ACC performer in 2000 and was one of three Wolfpack players to tally over 100 tackles.
"This is an opportunity that I feel I as ready to pursue," said the High Point native. "I think that I am ready to move to the next level. I want everybody at NC State, my coaches, my teammates and the fans, to know how much I appreciate everything they've done for me."
Wilson finished his career with 254 tackles, posting seven double figure tackle totals in 2000, including the Wolfpack's win over Minnesota in the micronpc.com bowl. He finished the season ranked second on the team in tackles with 109. He also scored a touchdown on an 81-yard reception on a fake punt versus Florida State. He played 805 snaps for the season, the second-highest total on the team.
