Wolfpack Women Complete First Round of Baytree Classic

Myrtle Beach, SC - NC State's women's golf team completed the first round of the Unlimited Potenetial/Bay Tree Classic with a 35-over-par 323 on Sept. 8. This is the first tournament for the Wolfpack since the school reinstated its women's golf program this year. The Wolfpack, a team with six freshmen on the roster, currently stand at 22nd in the 31-team field.
Chloe Ritson led the way for NC State with a 76. The freshman from Scarisbrick, England fired an even-par 36 on the front, before shooting a 40 on the back nine. Rebecca Randolph (Boise, Idaho) and Malin Claesson (Kalmar, Sweden) posted 78 and 82 respectively for the Wolfpack. Alli Henderson (Marietta, Ga.) and Margaeux Hennessey (St. Louis, Mo.) both carded an 87.
Sarah Davis (Raleigh), competing as an individual in the tournament, shot an 81 to lead all individuals.
The second round of the tournament will be held on Sept. 9, with the final 18-hole round being played on Sept. 10.
