Wolfpack Women 12th in ACC/SEC Golf Challenge

SANDESTIN, Fla. (Sept. 29, 2000) -- The NC State women's golf team, playing in just its
second tournament since the program was reinstated this fall, stands in
12th place after the first round of the ACC/SEC Challenge at Sandestin
Resort in Sandestin, Fla.
Celeste Troche of Auburn University was the only player to shoot ever par during the round and she has led the Tigers, who shot a 21-over par 305, into the team lead after one round.
Troche was the only player in the group of 60 players on 12 teams to shoot par as the round was played under windy conditions.
The tournament will resume on Saturday with another 18-hole round and will conclude on Sunday.
