Bawono Wins Two Matches At Maryland Invitational

COLLEGE PARK, MD (Sept. 22, 2000)-- Myrna Bawono captured two matches in flight C of the Maryland Invitational on Friday afternoon.

Bawono defeated Christy Michaux of James Madison, 6-3, 6-4, and took care of Keely Cater of American, 6-4, 6-2, to advance into the winner's bracket.

In doubles play, Bawono and Kristen Nicholls defeated the doubles team of Melissa Fisher and Jennifer Gencsoy of George Washington, 8-1. The tandem will compete again on Saturday at 9:00 a.m. Also winning a doubles matches was Jennifer Jassawalla and Jackie Leskovar.
