Rivers Is ACC Rookie Of The Week--Again

For the third straight week, NC State QB Philip Rivers has been named as the ACC Rookie of the Week. The 6-5, 221-pounder from Athens, Alabama, completed 16 of 24 passes for 271 yards and two touchdowns in leading the Wolfpack to a 41-0 win over Southern Methodist. Rivers leads the ACC and is second nationally in total offense averaging 355.3 yards per game.

In just three games, Rivers has thrown for 1,069 yards and 10 touchdowns. His 1,069 passing yards is the most through three games of any NC State quarterback in school history.
