Men's Soccer Falls to Charleston Southern

Raleigh, N.C. (Sept. 13) - The NC State men's soccer team was defeated by visiting Charleston Southern, 1-0, Sept. 13 at the Method Road Soccer Complex.
The Buccaneers (3-1) scored the only goal of the game with little time left in the first half. Charleston Southern's Janne Uusinarkaus led a break down the right sideline and found substitute Brendon Barry inside the NC State 18-yard box. Barry beat Pack keeper Mitchell Watson for the game-winning goal at the 41:10 mark.
NC State (0-3-2) ended up outshooting the Buccaneers 9-6 for the game, but Bucs goalkeeper Rob Tilley came up with five saves to record the shutout. For NC State, Watson finished the game with two saves, and has only allowed one goal in the past two games.
The Pack will begin ACC action this Sunday, when NC State plays host to Maryland on Sunday at 2:00 p.m.
