This week's NCAA Division 1-A football statistics show that the Wolfpack ranks 8th in the nation in total offense (506.5 yards per game) and is No. 2 in passing offense (399).
Individually, freshman quarterback Philip Rivers is No. 1 in total offense (395.5 yards per game) and is 3rd in passing (399.0).
"That's something that I would have never thought of doing before the season," Rivers said. "Last year I remember the local newspaper saying that I was leading the county. It's a dream come true to be playing college football and throwing the ball a lot."
Sophomore Koren Robinson has been on the receiving end of many of those Rivers aerials. The 6'2 wide out from Belmont is ranked 6th nationally in receptions per game with an average of seven catches per contest. Robinson is also averaging 113.5 receiving yards to rank 6th in that category.
