Rivers Looks Comfortable With NC State Offense

Raleigh, NC - NC State freshman quarterback Philip Rivers looked good in
practice during the morning drills as the Wolfpack continued with
two-a-day practices at the campus fields on Aug. 11.
Rivers hit on six consecutive passes during team drills and is gradually becoming more comfortable with the offense. Wide receivers Koren Robinson and Eric Leak made a couple difficult catches in traffic to help the freshman quarterback out.
"I am impressed with the whole team because they are working so hard," said State head coach Chuck Amato. "They are working much harder then they did in the spring. It is not quite what we need, but its getting better.
The Wolfpack will continue two-day practices on Saturday morning at 8:35 a.m. and again at 7:00 p.m. The team is off Sunday because of Meet the Pack Day. Gates will open for fans at 3:00 p.m. at Carter-Finley Stadium.
