Two weeks after being activated, the former NC State defensive end has landed on the injured list with multiple fractures in his right foot. Cotten was injured during the first half of the Cobras' game against New Jersey last week.
During the first 11 weeks of the season, Cotten practiced but didn't play because he was finishing up the academic requirements needed to get his degree at NC State.
The Windsor, Virginia native finally saw his first action two weeks ago at Arizona. Cotten played both fullback and linebacker in the two-way Arena League.
Another former Wolfpack defensive end, Carl Reeves, also played for the Cobras this season. And like Cotten, Reeves also sustained a season-ending injury when he dislocated a shoulder at Nashville on June 23.
