Ed Stowe asks Ray, what are your thoughts of the new offensive scheme being installed by Norm Chow?
It will open up my game and make me a more complete player as far as catching out of the backfield and running the ball. And, with the other schemes with the wide receivers, it will spread the field and not allow defenses to stack up against us.
Roger Townley asks How will you keep injuries from hurting your performance this year?
I really don't think about injuries. I think injuries came last year from not working out. That was really my first year of having injuries. I really don't think about it.
Stan Crews asks Ray, what does having Coach Portee back mean to you and the rest of the backs this year? Good luck this season.
It means a lot. All the running backs like Coach Portee. He is not just a coach, he is someone that we can talk to and is a friend to us. We all want to do well for him. We want to do a good job for him.
Rick Brines asks What are the team goals that have been established for the up coming season?
Basically, our main goal is to have a winning attitude. That comes from work ethic and just being there and having team unity.
Paul Byrd asks Ray, do you anticipate Koren being an integral part of the offense this fall?
Yes, he will be a big part of our offense. He will be able to stretch the field which will help everyone on our team.
Ross Massey asks Ray, have you set any personal goals for this upcoming season and if so, can you share those goals with us?
I always set goals that I write down to myself. I want to win an ACC title and that is my main goal. And I've got a lot of other goals that I'd like to keep to myself and accomplish first before I share them.
Mark Wooten asks How do you feel about the upcoming season and how do you feel about new head coach Amato?
I feel we are going to be ready and that everybody is going to do our best. As long as we take it game-by-game and we will do our best. As far as Coach Amato, I think he is a great guy with a lot of energy which will be passed on through some other players.
russell tindall asks Does the team do any thing "extra" before the game agaisnt North Carolina since it is the big rival?
We are a little more focused and everybody is up a little more. Everybody is pumped up. That is the game and everybody wants to win that one. Unfortunately, we have come up short twice. The goal is to win it this year.
Paul Byrd asks Ray, how are summer work-outs going? How many guys are in Raleigh participating?
It's going great right now. There are a lot of us here right now. There's about 75%-85% of the team here and everything is going great right now.
