Wolfpack On Preliminary TV Schedule

The Atlantic Coast Conference has announced its preliminary television schedule for the 2000 football season. The schedule features 21 appearances over 15 games
NC State appears twice on the schedule: On September 9 at Indiana and against Georgia Tech on Thursday, September 21.
The 2000 gridiron campaign will get underway with defending national champion Florida State and Georgia Tech taking part in a pair of August pre-season games. The Seminoles take on Brigham Young in the Pigskin Classic on ABC at the Gator Bowl in Jacksonville, Fla., on Saturday, August 26. Twenty-four hours later the Yellow Jackets will kickoff their 108th season on ESPN against Virginia Tech in the Black Coaches Association Classic in Blacksburg, Va. Both games have 8:00 starting times.
ABC has seven games involving ACC teams listed on its initial regular season schedule, including three prime time Saturday evening contests. ESPN's initial schedule lists four games, including three prime time Thursday night telecasts, while ESPN2 will carry three games.
The games listed below have been selected prior to the season. The remainder of the television schedule will be selected as the season progresses with selections made either six or 12 days prior to the game. ABC will televise an additional nine ACC games while ESPN and ESPN2 will carry an additional five ACC games. Jefferson Pilot Sports will broadcast ACC games on eight consecutive Saturdays on its syndicated package beginning September 30. Additional non-conference road games may be aired on other conference television packages.
