The well-traveled Vinny Del Negro is packing his bags again. The former NC State guard has been dealt to Golden State in a three-way trade that involved three teams.
The Milwaukee Bucks have acquired Jason Caffey and Billy Owens from the Golden State Warriors in a swap that included the Cleveland Cavaliers.
The deal sends J.R. Reid and Robert Traylor from Milwaukee to Cleveland, Del Negro from Milwaukee to Golden State and Bob Sura from Cleveland to the Warriors.
Del Negro made a major contribution to the Bucks' 42-40 record during the 1999-2000 season. Appearing in 67 games, mostly as a reserve, the 6'4 veteran averaged 5.2 points and 2.4 assists per game.
Upon leading the Wolfpack to the 1987 ACC Championship, Del Negro won the Everett Case Award given to the most valuable player of the ACC Tournament.
