The Milwaukee Bucks are one win away from pulling off an NBA Playoff stunner and one of the reasons why is Vinny Del Negro. The former NC State guard has been a force off the bench in the first round Eastern Conference series between Milwaukee and Indiana. The two clubs will square off in a decisive fifth game Thursday night in Indianapolis.
In the first four games of the series, Del Negro hit 11-of-25 shots from the floor. His ten-point performance off the bench in game two helped the Bucks post a huge win on the road to even the series at one game apiece.
Thanks to the efforts of Del Negro, Tim Thomas and Scott Williams, Milwaukee reserves have been superior in the series.
Indiana, which is the No. 1 seed in the east, opened the best of five series as a heavy favorite over the eighth-seeded Bucks.
Del Negro learned a little something about postseason upsets when he played at NC State. His clutch MVP performance helped the sixth seeded Wolfpack win the 1987 ACC Tournament Title in Landover, Maryland.
