Wolfpack Scrimmages At Carter-Finley

The offense and defense made big plays during the workout. The scrimmage opened with junior strong safety Adrian Wilson picking off a Philip Rivers pass and returning it for 34 yards and a touchdown. On Jatavis Sanders' first throw, redshirt freshman safety Quenton Allen pulled down the interception. Wilson would break up two other passes during the scrimmage and lead the team with four tackles, all first hits or solo stops.
Rivers was the leading passer on the afternoon, completing 12 of his 22 attempts for a gain of 157 yards. He connected on two touchdown strikes, a 50-yarder to Koren Robinson and a 33-yarder to Ray Robinson. K-Rob finished the day with four catches for 73 yards, while Ray Rob had three catches for 43 yards to go along with 21 yards rushing. Sanders completed eight of 17 attempts, gaining 87 total yards.
The Pack defense forced three fumbles, with Anthony Cason, Clayton White and Marcus Ellerbe forcing the ball loose. Nate Goodson and Brian Jamison each recovered fumbles.
